Myrtle Beach Beats Smoky Mountain, 3-1
|
Quincy Rose pitched well, but his team, the Smoky Mountain Hobeaus, still dropped a 3-1 decision to the Myrtle Beach Seahawks at Smokies Stadium. Ze-dong Jiao earned the save, his 2nd, for the Seahawks. Myrtle Beach now has a record of 23-20 with the win.
José Rosário, the 24-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Rosário contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put Myrtle Beach up, 2-0.
"I felt good up there," said Rosário. "I saw the ball well."
