Lakers Top Piranhas in 12
|
Panama City wasted a solid 8.1-inning effort from starting pitcher Vicente Molina, losing to Echo Park, 1-0, at LA Forum. Echo Park reliever Danny Kas picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Rob Green took the loss. Echo Park has a mark of 6-12 after the win.
In the bottom of the 12th, Jon Griffin knew he could end it with one good swing of the bat. And he did, hitting a run-scoring double off Panama City pitcher Rob Green.
"It was a test of wills," said Jordan Calhoun, the Echo Park skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."
