Rocketeers Rally to Eke Out Win
|
Seattle Rocketeers starter Virgil Dickerson pitched a strong game against the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids at Boeing Dome, leading the Rocketeers to victory, 3-2. Seattle reliever Carlos Sainz picked up the win, raising his record to 1-1. Richello Dosono was tagged with the loss. The Rainbow Mermaids are now 6-10.
The Rocketeers procured the win, in large part because of second baseman Jason Scott. In the bottom of the 14th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Dickerson.
