Manatees Edge Alameda in Pitching Duel
|
Pitcher Silas Brown was sensational for the Matlacha Manatees in his team's 1-0 triumph over the Alameda Airmen. Brown picked up the win, and it was well-earned. The loss makes Alameda 42-50.
Erik Willard broke a 0-0 tie in the bottom of the third with a run-scoring ground out. It put the Manatees in front, 1-0. For the game, Willard drew 1 walk.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Brown said.
