Tight Tilt Goes to Reapers, 1-0
|
The Grim Reapers got a magnificent performance from pitcher Ánibal Maes, who stifled the Chicago offense en route to a 1-0 Reapers win at The Coffin. Chicago has now lost 4 straight.
Rickey Monroe drove in one run for Grim. The 21-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Eric Riley. It was his 4th RBI of the season.
"I know we have our doubters," said Chicago manager John Sirica. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
