Edgar Pérez was in top form in a low-scoring contest between Kingston and Idaho Falls. The Mangos right-hander helped his team beat the Chukars, 3-0. Steve Kuhn was called on to finish, recording his 22nd save. Kingston, at 48-40, holds down 5th place in the Silver A.
Kingston used a well-timed hit by Hsin Hark to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Mangos ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
Pérez told a Kingston Today reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
