Cattlemen Stymie Oakland, Take 2-0 Win
|
The Ft. Worth Cattlemen got a magnificent effort from pitcher Jeff McFarland, who kept Oakland hitters in check en route to a 2-0 Cattlemen win at The Cattle Pen. The Cattlemen, now 9-3, have been on fire in the early going.
Leland Sigurdson chipped in for Ft. Worth with a solo home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 run batted in.
McFarland offered a curt "no comment" when asked to discuss the win after the game.
