Yinzers Need Extra Frames to Get Past Hawks
The Monroeville Yinzers got a magnificent performance from pitcher Zach Edwards, who muffled the Laredo offense en route to a tight 2-1 Yinzers win at Hawks Field. With the loss, Laredo drops to 3-2.

The outcome might have been different for Monroeville, had it not been for Daniel Abercromby, the 22-year old third baseman . Abercromby stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put Monroeville up, 2-1. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.

"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Edwards. "Successful pitchers do it."
