Reapers Drop Jets, 6-4
|
The Grim Reapers grabbed a win, 6-4, over the Kennesaw Jets at Jets Stadium. Grim third baseman James DeLacy went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Joe Gibson snagged the win in relief. In 3.1 innings, the left-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit. He's now 3-1 on the season. Earning his 12th save for Grim was Michael Pace.
Grim used the clutch hitting of Tim Robbins to capture the win. The designated hitter drilled a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Reapers the lead, 5-3. For the game, Robbins had 1 single and 2 doubles in 4 at-bats.
"Winning is hard sometimes," said Reapers manager Terrence Eler. "This one was nice to get."
The Reapers' win now puts them at 24-41.
