Behind the hitting of Edwin Johnson, the Huntington Hermit Crabs stopped the Laredo Hawks, 7-3. Johnson was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Hermit Crabs. John Owens picked up the save for Huntington, his 1st of the year. The loss drops Laredo to 2-1.

In the bottom of the sixth, Huntington designated hitter Edwardo Brochado put his team on top. With one out and a runner on 2nd, he hit his 1st home run of the year. Laredo pitcher Keanu Kolora served it up. Just like that, the Hermit Crabs were ahead, 4-3.

In comments to the Huntington News, Johnson admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
