Mangos Suffer 6-1 Setback
|
Kingston had no answer for Grim Reapers hurler Israel Cordero, who overwhelmed Mangos hitters as the Reapers coasted to victory, 6-1. Ánibal Maes picked up the save for Grim, his 1st of the year. Grim, with the win, is 19-37.
The Reapers got an important contribution from designated hitter Tim Robbins, who in the bottom of the first hit a fastball into center for a 2-run double. It was his 17th double of the season and put the Reapers ahead, 3-0.
"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Grim manager Terrence Eler.
