Don Beales never let Kennesaw get something going. The Kingston right-hander commanded his sinker in pitching the Mangos to a 6-1 win. Josh Reason, 1-3, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. Kennesaw has now lost 7 in a row.
Jim Mitchell drew 1 walk for Kingston. The slick-fielding second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Ryan Burton. It was his 5th walk of the season.
