Behind an impressive start by Hideyoshi Sasaki, Kennesaw beat Idaho Falls, 3-1. The Jets, at 19-26, sit in 7th place in the Silver A.
Kennesaw relied on the bat of Nazeem Ala' to get the win. The center fielder produced a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Jets ahead, 3-1. For the game, Ala' had 1 double and 1 home run in 3 at-bats.
"Tough loss," said Idaho Falls manager Fernando Mendoza. "But we'll learn from it."
