The Delmarva Gallos got a stellar performance from pitcher Maurice Richards, who handcuffed the Idaho Falls offense en route to a win, 5-1, at The Cage. Richards got the win, improving to 4-1. He allowed 5 hits and walked 4 over 6 innings. Richards allowed 1 run. Rafael Feliciano earned the save for Delmarva, his 2nd of the year.
Pablo Flores came through for Delmarva when he hit a 2-run double in the bottom of the second. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a two-strike fastball to left field, staking his team to a 2-0 lead.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Delmarva manager Phil Baker.
Delmarva is 4th in the Silver A with a record of 23-18.
