River Rats Pick Up 3-2 Win
|
Columbia Stadium was the site of a tense game between the Kingston Mangos and Columbia River Rats.
Columbia River Rats starter Hubert Reed turned in a sterling performance against the Kingston Mangos, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. Carlos Maldonado closed the door for Columbia, picking up his 3rd save of the year.
Juan Santos had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth for Columbia. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Columbia in front, 3-1.
"Glad to get this win," said Santos. "But we need to keep playing at a high level."
Kingston drops to 3-2.
