Nelson Lifts Expos to 8-5 Triumph
|
Aaron Nelson was a vital contributor to the 8-5 Niagara Falls victory over Pontiac. The Expos second baseman went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 4. Getting the save was Juan Castro, his 2nd. Niagara Falls is now 34-58. Pontiac is 42-50.
Niagara Falls took the lead in the top of the fifth when Nelson hit a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season made the score 3-1, Niagara Falls.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Mackenzie Bolen said.
