Pontiac pitcher Esko Haapakoski did his part in helping his team beat the Walla Walla Walleye, 2-1. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Haapakoski picked up the win for Pontiac, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 6-4. Pontiac is in 8th place in the Menard's A with a record of 41-49.
Travis Williams contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the sixth. With the bases loaded, he hit a run-scoring single. It was one at-bat that helped Pontiac get the win.
