The Yucca Valley Yellows stopped the Matlacha Manatees, 8-4, at Fuller Park. The Yellows got a big game from Dai-lin Yen, who was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Carlos Cintrón earned the save for Yucca Valley, his 1st. The win moves Yucca Valley to a record of 1-2.

Yucca Valley relied on the hitting of Emory Mills to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Yellows on top, 5-4. For the game, Mills had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
