The Walla Walla Walleye did just enough to sneak past the Alaskan Bush Pilots, 3-2, at Bush Pilots Park. Walla Walla pitcher Mark Lester, in particular, had a standout performance. José Torres closed the door for Walla Walla, picking up his 14th save of the year. The triumph puts Walla Walla at 58-22 for the season.

It was a remarkable effort from Lester, who is one of the team leaders. Lester recorded 10 strikeouts in 7 innings while allowing 3 hits. Lester, who is tied for 6th in the 3A with a 12 quality starts, moves to 8-4 on the year with 100 strikeouts.
