The Washington Generals defeated the Walla Walla Walleye, 2-1, in M3L Single A action at Walleye Tank. Washington pitcher Eduardo Soto had a standout performance. The win puts the Generals at 28-47, while the Walleye drop to 53-22.
In the top of the fourth, with Washington leading 1-0, Eugene LeBlanc hit a changeup from Mark Lester for a run-scoring single, giving the Generals the lead, 2-0.
"The old adage is true," said Soto. "Good pitching stops good hitting."
