The Rocky Mountain Vibes beat the Mancelona Torch, 5-2. Rocky Mountain pitcher and Salcedo, Dominican Republic, native Sergio Vega led the way. Sean Hamilton notched his 14th save in 16 chances. Rocky Mountain, at 32-39, holds down 8th place in the Menard's A.
The game hit a turning point in the bottom of the third inning, when the Vibes were trailing 2-1. Don Whitley delivered a two-out bases-clearing double for Rocky Mountain, catapulting his team into the lead.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Whitley.
