River Rats Edge Kennesaw in Pitching Duel
|
Columbia got a strong outing from Dale Burney as the River Rats defeated the Kennesaw Jets, 1-0, at Columbia Stadium. Burney, now 1-0, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 10, walking 4, and allowing no runs. Getting the save was Carlos Maldonado, his 1st.
