Expos Roll Over Chiefs, 9-2
|
The Niagara Falls Expos and starting pitcher Ernst Ayotte stifled the Caldwell offense en route to a comfortable 9-2 win at Waterfall Park. Ayotte went 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 3-4. Earning his 3rd save for Niagara Falls was Vincent Hansen.
Rob Hill hit a run-scoring double off Edmund Barnett in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Expos in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Hill had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Hill told reporters after the game.
