Alhama Helps Dirty Reds Beat White Walkers, 9-5
|
The San Mateo Dirty Reds defeated the Buffalo White Walkers, 9-5. Doing his part was third baseman Francisco Alhama, who went 2 for 2 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. San Mateo is now riding a 4-game win streak.
Alhama had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-0 curveball from Lloyd Natoff, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Dirty Reds a 7-4 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Alhama.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Alhama.
