7-2 Loss to Blue Dragons Extends Grand Forks Losing Streak
|
Levittown Blue Dragons starter David Fisher turned in a top-notch performance against the Grand Forks Caterpillars at The Cave at Levittown. The result was a win for the Blue Dragons, 7-2. Fisher, now 3-2, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 9, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. The losses continue to mount for Grand Forks, which has now dropped 7 in a row.
The Blue Dragons got an important contribution from left fielder David Saunders, who in the bottom of the third hit a sinker into right for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Blue Dragons ahead, 5-0.
"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager Steve Ferguson, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
