Voodoo Stick Kingfishers with 8-5 Loss
A 4-RBI performance from the 2050 PL home run champion Michizane Yamashita helped the New Orleans Voodoo beat the Pittsburgh Kingfishers, 8-5. Yan van der Meijden got the win, improving to 4-2. He pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 7 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 1. Today's win puts New Orleans at 49-41, while Pittsburgh falls to 34-56.

With New Orleans leading 4-3 in the bottom of the fourth, Yamashita hit a grand slam home run off Pittsburgh hurler Craig Culver. It was the 21st home run of the season for Yamashita and put his team ahead, 8-3.

Yamashita told the New Orleans Times: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
