It wasn't easy but Júlio Rocho made it look that way.

Rocho silenced the St. Petersburg Thunder, 2-0, in a Bethesda Atoms triumph at Atoms Field today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Rocho said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 1 walk and 6 hits.

"It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else."

Rocho has gone 5-8 this season with an ERA of 3.68 and 76 strikeouts in 88 innings pitched. Other clubs are hitting .245 against him.
