Harris Leads Love Boats to Win
|
Lake Minnetonka left fielder Kyle Harris was a significant contributor in his team's 7-0 triumph over the Asheville Highlanders. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 6 RBI and scoring once for Lake Minnetonka. Dong-hoon An, the winning pitcher, improved to 5-3. He pitched 7.2 innings, giving up 3 hits and no runs, while striking out 5 and walking 1. The second-place Love Boats are now 45-31, the Highlanders 46-30.
Lake Minnetonka took a 5-0 lead on Harris's 12th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Martín Rivera in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Lake Minnetonka to the win.
"Glad to get this win," said Harris. "But we need to keep playing at a high level."
