The Richland Rails beat the Barton Springs Blues, 2-1, at Rails Ballpark. Starting pitcher Elroy Mastenbroek was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Juan Trujillo closed the door for Richland, picking up his 11th save of the year. Richland, at 34-37, occupies 4th place in the Silver AA.

In the bottom of the fifth, Zachary Glover delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 2nd, the Richland catcher hit a run-scoring triple, putting the Rails in front, 2-1.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Rails manager Tony Newell, "I like our chances."
