Atoms March On, Beat Blues, 3-1
|
The Bethesda Atoms got a magnificent performance from pitcher Daron Gallagher, who muffled the Barton Springs offense en route to a tight 3-1 Atoms win at Blues Field. The Atoms have now won 6 straight.
Bethesda used a well-timed hit by Randolph White to capture the win. The shortstop socked a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Atoms ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"Enjoyed this one," White told the Bethesda Citizen. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
