Rails Lose, 8-3, at Atoms Field
|
Bethesda picked up a win at Atoms Field, bumping off the Richland Rails, 8-3. Pitcher Bill Cole was a major reason the Atoms emerged victorious. Cole went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 5, and struck out 2. His record improves to 2-6. Richland has now lost 4 straight.
Bethesda grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Matt Turner delivered a 2-run double, to make it 3-1 in favor of the Atoms.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Bethesda manager Cristián Sandoval.
