Boston Hot Streak Continues with 5-1 Win
|
The Boston Patriots topped the San Mateo Dirty Reds, 5-1, in United States Premier League action at Dunkin Donuts Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Boston pitcher César Pinto. Boston now has a 7-game win streak.
Juan Lugo tagged a home run off Peer Slooters in the bottom of the fourth. His 2-run blast put the Patriots on top, 2-1. In all, Lugo had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"I just tried to put the barrel on it," said Lugo.
