Yakima pitcher Andy Foster did his part in helping his team beat the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas, 6-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Foster, now 2-3, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 4, walking 3, and allowing 3 runs. The win puts the Hops at 25-26, while the Cangrejos Fantasmas drop to 22-29.

The Hops grabbed the lead in the bottom of the fourth. With one out, John O'Farrell hit a grand slam home run off Walt Middleton, putting Yakima in front, 4-3. For O'Farrell, it was his 1st home run of the season.

"It's not about individual awards," O'Farrell told a Yakima Daily reporter after the game. "It's about winning championships. That's what we play for."
