The Barton Springs Blues got a stellar performance from pitcher Alan Sanderson, who handcuffed the Lake Minnetonka offense en route to a win, 3-1, at Heron Field. Sanderson picked up the win for Barton Springs, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 4-5. Sun-ho Yang was called on to finish, recording his 7th save.
Barton Springs used the timely hitting of Kuniyuki Sato to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blues on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Barton Springs manager Joe Kehoe. "Our pregame was pretty good."
The Blues now have a mark of 23-26.
