In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
The St. Petersburg Thunder topped the Bethesda Atoms, 6-2, in USSL Double A action at Baby Thunder Dome. The standout performance belonged to St. Petersburg pitcher and Santiago, Dominican Republic, native Manuel Villalobos. José Blanco recorded the save for St. Petersburg, his 1st of the season.
With no one out in the bottom of the fourth, Mark Hart hit a go-ahead run-scoring double. It was his 3rd double of the season and with it the Thunder took a 3-2 lead.
"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said Villalobos.
St. Petersburg, now 20-22, holds down 6th place in the Silver AA.
