Dirty Reds Defeat Kingfishers, 3-1
|
Lang Park was the site of a tense game between the Pittsburgh Kingfishers and San Mateo Dirty Reds.
In a tight game between the San Mateo Dirty Reds and the Pittsburgh Kingfishers, pitcher Sylvain Richard was terrific on the mound. The San Mateo left-hander helped his team to the 3-1 win. Tom DeHart collected his 17th save.
Marcos Janero was a prime contributor to the San Mateo win. He was 1 for 4. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the fifth with two out, the 29-year old right fielder hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 3-1, in favor of the Dirty Reds.
"We didn't string enough hits together to win the game," said tight-lipped Pittsburgh manager Tyler Johnson. "Obviously."
The Dirty Reds' win now puts them at 41-43.
