Love Boats Saddle Cangrejos Fantasmas with 6-3 Loss
|
The Lake Minnetonka Love Boats beat the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas, 6-3. Lake Minnetonka pitcher and New York, native Mike Wilson led the way. Wilson, now 1-2, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 7, walking 2, and allowing no runs. Uljas Linkomies earned the save for Lake Minnetonka, his 1st.
Lake Minnetonka took a 6-3 lead on Heng-zong Fen's 4th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Fen hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Chesapeake pitcher Anil Seshu visibly frustrated.
"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Wilson. "I just want to win ballgames."
With the win, the Love Boats have a record of 17-9.
