In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
Yakima designated hitter Fernando Morales was sensational. He was 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Pine Island beat the Hops, 7-4. Gilberto Elías, the winning pitcher, is now 1-0. He went 7 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits, while fanning 0 and walking 6. Jack Williams closed the door for Pine Island, picking up his 2nd save of the year.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Marnix Sinke? The Pine Island designated hitter had a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Dolphins on top, 4-0. For the game, Sinke had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

The Hops fall to 5-7 and continue their lackluster start in 2051.
