The Boston Patriots got a strong performance from pitcher César Pinto, who stymied the Buffalo offense en route to a win, 2-1, at Dunkin Donuts Park. Boston reliever Lung Zhou picked up the win to move to 5-1. Magnus Belli suffered the loss. Jeremy Gonzáles, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.

Boston took a 2-1 lead on Quincy Wass's 5th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Wass hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Buffalo pitcher Magnus Belli shaking his head.

"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Pinto said.

The win makes Boston 47-34.
