The Barton Springs Blues beat the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas, 6-4. Barton Springs pitcher and Sandy, Oregon, native David Ferguson led the way. Ferguson, now 1-0, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Sun-ho Yang earned the save for Barton Springs, his 1st of the year.
Helping the Barton Springs cause was Bogdashka Eremkin. In the bottom of the second, the 21-year old catcher had a run-scoring walk to make the score 2-0, Blues.
"I believe in our guys," said Barton Springs skipper Joe Kehoe. "I like the energy they're playing with."
The win gives the Blues a record of 6-3.
