The Asheville Highlanders grabbed a win, 12-9, over the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats at Heron Field. Asheville right fielder Dwayne Foll went 4-6 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Martín Rivera came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 3 runs on 3 hits in 1.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. With the win, Asheville climbs to 4-4.

The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Kelvin van Enk came to bat in the top of the eighth. Facing Lake Minnetonka pitcher Mike Wilson, he hit a first pitch fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Asheville on top, 10-8.

"We maximized our offense today," said Asheville skipper Don Thomas. "That makes everyone's life easier."
