The Lake Minnetonka Love Boats topped the Nuevo Mexico Mariachis, 4-3, in USSL Double A action at Mariachi Band Shell. The standout performance belonged to Lake Minnetonka pitcher and Daipo, Hong Kong, native Li-zhi Lai. Waleliano Girawheen earned the save for Lake Minnetonka, his 3rd of the year. With the loss, Nuevo Mexico is 1-5.

Calum MacKinlay chipped in for Lake Minnetonka, stroking a crucial run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning. For the game, the designated hitter went 1-4 with a double.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Lake Minnetonka manager William Smith.
