Atoms Suffer 10-5 Setback
|
The timely hitting of Ed Bowen helped the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas down the Bethesda Atoms, 10-5. Bowen was 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Cangrejos Fantasmas. The winner was Anil Seshu in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Júlio Rocho took the loss. Chesapeake goes to 2-2.
Bowen had a key at-bat for Chesapeake early in the game. With the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and gave Chesapeake an early 9-5 lead.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Bowen told the Chesapeake Herald.
