The Toledo Saboteurs picked up a win at Toledo Backyard Park, courtesy of Ben Jones. The left-hander helped his team stop the Ottawa Nationals, 3-0. Cristo Sánchez closed the door for Toledo, picking up his 29th save of the year. Toledo now has a record of 53-48 with the win.

The Nationals had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Saboteurs going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old shortstop Mark Newton came to the plate. Newton hit a 2-run home run on a 0-1 fastball from Ottawa hurler Ethan Morse. It was Newton's 10th home run of the year.

"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Newton told the Toledo Daily.
