Miners Beat Ghosts, 3-1
|
Marquette Miners starter Bill Lund pitched a strong game against the Casper Ghosts at The Graveyard, leading the Miners to victory, 3-1. The Miners now have a record of 34-41 with the win over Casper.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Miners had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the top of the second, when designated hitter Chien-shih Chen hit a 2-run single. The single came off José Ramos and made the score 3-0, Miners. Chen was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Lund told the Marquette Observer.
