Farmers Lose By a Run at Minnesota, 3-2
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Minnesota Loons and Lancaster Farmers.
The Minnesota Loons picked up a win at Loony Bin, taking down the Lancaster Farmers, 3-2. Starting pitcher José Valdonado was a big reason why. Valdonado picked up the win for Minnesota, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 4-7.
Antoine Mercier, who leads the 3AA in bases on balls with 45, contributed to the Minnesota win with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Lancaster manager Dave Davis said following the tough loss.
The victory gives Minnesota a record of 39-25.
