Polar Bears Fall, 13-4, to Coronado, Eclipse
|
The Northville Eclipse easily defeated the Billings Polar Bears, 13-4, at Old-Timers Park, with second baseman Manny Coronado a main contributor to the win. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for Northville. Juan Ramírez got the win, improving to 5-2. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 5 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 5. Northville now sits in 5th place in the Menard's AA at 31-30.
The Eclipse got an important contribution from third baseman Abraham Waddle, who in the bottom of the first punched a 0-2 curveball into left for a 3-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Eclipse ahead, 4-2.
"We all want to win," said Coronado. "We all want to do our part."
