Javelina Fall to Saboteurs, 7-4
|
The Toledo Saboteurs bested the Arizona Javelina by a score of 7-4, with right fielder Christian Harris getting the main credit. On the day, Harris was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Saboteurs. Dan Wells got credit for the win, improving to 3-5. He allowed 4 runs on 6 hits in 5 innings. Shuji Kokawa finished to wrap up his 1st save.
Toledo used the bat of Victor Fleming to get the win. The center fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Saboteurs ahead, 5-4. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it did its damage.
Harris told a Toledo Daily reporter that he was "very satisfied" with the win.
The win makes Toledo 19-26.
