Fur Traders Double Up Northville, 4-2
|
Tacoma picked up a win at Ballpark of Tacoma, toppling the Northville Eclipse, 4-2. Pitcher Fernando Ramírez was one of the reasons the Fur Traders triumphed. Ramírez picked up the win for Tacoma, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 3-3. The save went to Cheol-han Cho, number 3 for him.
The Eclipse had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Fur Traders going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old right fielder Ryan Dickey came to the plate. Dickey hit a 3-run home run on a 1-1 fastball from Northville hurler Bastien Martinez. It was Dickey's 1st home run of the year.
In comments to the Tacoma Bulletin, Dickey admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
Tacoma, with the win, is 10-24.
