Nationals Pull Off Thrilling 4-3 Win in Extras
|
The Ottawa Nationals picked up a win at Farmers Field, knocking off the Lancaster Farmers, 4-3. Starting pitcher Hong-bin Hark played a key role in the triumph. Ottawa reliever José Pérez picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Kamaliela Kaulo absorbed the loss. Ottawa now sits at 15-16, while Lancaster falls to 20-11.
Ottawa used a clutch hit from Chad Perry to get the win. The third baseman drilled a solo home run in the top of the 13th inning to put the Nationals ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a doozy.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Perry.
